The Yorkshire Terrier is bold, spirited, and surprisingly confident for its size. They form close bonds with their owners and can be possessive of their attention. Yorkies are alert and tend to be vocal, making them effective watchdogs. They can be stubborn during training but respond well to positive reinforcement. They are better suited to households with older children who understand how to handle small dogs carefully.
