The English Springer Spaniel is enthusiastic, affectionate, and eager to please. They are highly trainable and thrive when given regular activity and a sense of purpose. Springers are generally excellent with children and other pets, and their sociable nature makes them poor guard dogs but wonderful family companions. They can be prone to separation anxiety if left alone frequently. Active families who enjoy outdoor activities will find them a rewarding and devoted partner.
