The Bullmastiff is a powerful, confident, and devoted guardian breed. Despite their imposing size, they are gentle and affectionate with their families. Bullmastiffs are naturally protective and make excellent guard dogs without excessive aggression. They are calm indoors but require regular exercise to maintain a healthy weight. Early socialization and training are essential. Their short coat requires minimal grooming. Bullmastiffs are prone to drooling and are sensitive to heat. They are best suited to experienced owners who can manage a large, strong dog.
