Personality & Temperament
The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is one of the most affectionate and gentle of all dog breeds. They are happiest when close to their owners and do not do well when left alone for long periods. Cavaliers are adaptable and equally at home in an apartment or a house with a yard. They are good with children and other pets. Their sweet temperament makes them excellent therapy dogs. Health issues, particularly heart disease, are a significant concern in the breed.
