The Samoyed is a beautiful, gentle, and friendly breed known for its perpetual 'Samoyed smile.' They are devoted to their families and excellent with children. Samoyeds are social dogs that do not do well when left alone for long periods. Their thick white double coat requires significant grooming and they shed heavily. Samoyeds can be stubborn and require patient, consistent training. They are vocal and may bark or howl. Despite their working dog heritage, they are gentle and friendly with nearly everyone.
