Personality & Temperament

The West Highland White Terrier is confident, cheerful, and surprisingly independent for a small dog. They are affectionate with their family but can be stubborn and selective about following commands. Westies are alert and vocal, making them effective watchdogs. They have a strong prey drive and may not be reliable around small animals. Their spirited nature makes them entertaining companions for owners who appreciate a dog with a distinct personality.
