Personality & Temperament

The Belgian Malinois is driven, highly intelligent, and intensely focused. They form strong bonds with their handler and are capable of extraordinary performance in protection, detection, and sport work. Without a clear purpose and substantial daily activity, they can become destructive or develop behavioral problems. They are not suited to casual or first-time dog owners. In the right hands, they are exceptionally loyal and capable working partners.
