The Cairn Terrier is a hardy, cheerful, and fearless little dog. Made famous as Toto in The Wizard of Oz, they are alert, curious, and always busy. Cairn Terriers have a strong prey drive and may chase small animals. They are independent thinkers with a stubborn streak, but respond well to patient, positive training. They are good with children and adapt well to various living situations. Their shaggy coat requires regular brushing but minimal trimming.
