The Italian Greyhound is a graceful, affectionate, and sensitive breed. They form extremely close bonds with their owners and are prone to separation anxiety. Italian Greyhounds are gentle and do best in calm households. Their fine bones make them fragile — they are not ideal for homes with very young children. They are sensitive to cold and should wear a coat in cool weather. Despite their delicate appearance, they enjoy short bursts of speed and play. They are low-maintenance in terms of grooming.
